in my tbh which is my 1st one I started with the brood worked its way to the middle.
this is what its looking like. 1st bar is old brood comb, 2nd is new comb starting, 3rd worker brood
4th - 8th is new comb building and old brood comb.
9th - 16 is worker and drone brood, 17th-19th comb new and old, 20th honey
hive has swarm I believe. I found a empty queen cell on the honey bar and didn't see when I inspected the hive today.
then I have 5 empty bars at the end.

any thoughts on how to get my brood back to the front of the hive?

You probably have your entrance in the middle.  I wouldn't worry about it until fall.  Then I would just move any honey one end, to the other end and slide everything over so they start winter at one end with full bars of honey on one side of them.
