Buckling Foundation

Hi,
I just set up 2 hives for the first time over the weekend.  I checked both hives yesterday and discovered that in one of them, the wired foundation in a few frames has buckled badly and is interfering with the frames next to it.  The bees seemed happy but they are forced to draw comb in an irregular way.  What's the best way to correct this?  Should I just remove the crooked frames and replace with new foundation? Thanks

Yes.  (you can squeeze the foundation back into the wire).  Embedding foundation so it doesn't  split and buckle is a nearly lost art.  Requires a delicate touch and an embedding tool of just the right temperature.  Mild spring weather helps too, as the really hot days of summer make the wax too soft in a fresh hive.
