Blue spruce honey?

Just wondering if anybody can tell me what my bees are doing in my blue spruce tree. it does have some little buds or something , but it doesnt really look like flowers. Just wondering what they are getting. Harold

Bees will collect pollen from certain evergreens if nothing more attractive is available. I have seen them on cedar but have no experience with spruce.
