Hello my name is Brent I'm from East Tennessee and I'm new to beekeeping this year.  I however am being mentored by a gentlemen that has been beekeeping for years and is extremely knowledgeable.  I was given a established colony that hadn't been worked in over 2 years so lets just say the hive was a mess!  I was able to rebuild the hive and get back in good condition and the bees seem to be doing just fine.  I plan to expand my bee yard in the upcoming spring by ordering package bees and starting from scratch just to get the experience.  I have looked around the forum and looks like there are all kinds of info that will be a great deal of help and I'm sure that I will have some random questions along the way.

P.S.  Wanted to give JP the beeman a shoutout thanks for all your videos on youtube they have been a lot of help and enjoyable.

Welcome to the forum, Brent.  You are luck to have a mentor.  Good luck to you and your bees
