It is rather cold and rainy here at the moment but my girls are all still flying... I thought that they didn't fly in the rain?  :?

I wondered about the same thing.  Here in FL we have thunderstorms in the afternoon...several times a week. I am always amazed to see bees flying in and out.

To feed the larvae they need 3 things pollen, (honey/nectar) and??

Water to mix it all together to make food for the larvae

It rains a lot here in Denmark.    I had also read that bees don't fly in the rain and bad weather.     I have had a lot of fun watching (Stalking) my bees since i got them a few weeks ago.  I was surprised to see them flying in the wind and rain.   It's so funny to see them trying to land in the wind and rain and crash land on the grass.     I  can almost hear them complaining about the bad weather.

My bees seem to love a light rain, even when artificially provided by watering the garden with a sprinkler.
