Robo's Swarm Traps

I built 5 of Rob's 30 Liter swarm traps the other day and got around to painting them today. It was sunny and 55 degrees here today and I'm itchy!

Looks like you're ready for spring!!! Wish i could say the same.
I'm going to petition whom ever it may concern to put 6 extra hours in a day, then i should have the time... :-\

cd  big hole  just use one in. cutter and just catch the bit in the bottom   half a hole  hang any where you see big timber  I always ask and never been turned down.  also like a easy removable side yousually just ty it on

Is there a link for those traps? I built 8 from D Coates plans. Nothing wrong with them I would just like to have some different ones out there. I thought about building one out of plywood maybe 10" wide and 5' tall. I'm guessing it would resemble a tree more so. It could be modified to access the frames from the top portion.

There are plans for a 20 liter and a 30 liter trap. Rob says he's done a good bit of investigation, setting both traps together, and he has more success with the 30 liter..   http://robo.bushkillfarms.com/beekeeping/downloads/
