is anybody seeing white wax yet?  it looked like it was about to happen a week ago and the weather kind of set things back.  high winds followed by cold followed by heavy rain.  i'm thinking the blackberries and clover should be going pretty strong any day now but it's also almost tie for tulip poplar.  i'm a little concerned that the big flows are going to happen at the same time instead of staggering this year.  a couple of weeks of bad weather could be devastating if that happens.

There you go! It will be your fault. :-D

I was talking to a turkey hunter last night, that knows nothing of bees, said he thought everything was going to bloom at once. As far as white wax not yet, my records indicate another 7-12 days based on the past white waxes.

I have a couple hives with Pol-Line queens that are drawing white wax filling up frames that were just partially full of comb when I checkerboarded with um. Have been for a couple weeks. Don't know where they are getting that much nectar since the early March freeze killed our Maple bloom.

i went through my hives yesterday and some are drawing comb right now.  blackberry is about half open and clover is starting to open along the shoulder of the roads.  highs in the lower 80's this week.  this should pretty much kick things in down my way.

We are getting some here in North Fl. so you guys should not be too far behind us.

Just a little nectar. Nothing capped. Red bud and clover. No large flow.

white wax here. Is not new

put the honey super on 2 weeks ago. on the strong hive.

those girls are booming they pulled new comb 10 frames and it is half full now.

not half the frames but all the frames all the comb is half full

then my weakest hive to me it looks like they have no honey stores at all.

yet four frames front and back are solid caped brood, ya think they'll be bustin out soon.

should I feed them still?

moved the swarm I caught to the other side of the trees.

didn't like it much and she told me so!

their work-in all the frames some foundationless lots more honey than the weak hive.

we are moving along strong.

avocados are blooming now. and the plumbs on water are sprouting at both ends.

I have a foundationless frame that is made of 100% white wax. I soo love it.  :-D
It is highly recommend that split be done with only strong healthy hives that have at least two Brood Chambers with Brood in all stages of development. Frames with capped Brood should be split evenly between the two hives.

Carol

I have at least 6 frames of white wax in one super...and 3 in the other. My Blue hive is going pretty fast...Pink is a bit slower. I think I lost a swarm when I was away. It was the strongest hive...but no longer. Neighbor said he heard bees in the trees between our places...bummer.  Need one for my TBH.

Carol

Forgot to mention all frames are foundationless....let my husband peek in the windows on the supers today and see his first nicely built white wax comb. Think he was surprised.
