Beevilla foam hives.

Hi guys,
I have just ordered a Beevilla foam plastic hive,with two hive bodies. Full depth they are.
Can you guys tell me if a good queen would need to deep boxes to perform well. Or should I expect her to work in the bottom full depth box only??
I bought this mainly to try out for our cold winters.
Let me know your opinions.

Most northern beeks I talk to like 2 deep brood boxes to winter their bees in. I am talking about Pennsylvania. Not Canada. I think Finski uses 2 deeps for Finish weather.

A good queen (with lots of support bees) will fill a deep and then some.  That's the problem with deep frames, they're just a little too small.

The bees winter well inside insulated hives as long as moisture is allowed to escape (top vent) or otherwise condense away from the bees.  Most my hives and nucs are made from foam.
