Dumb ways to die - what was I thinking??????

So, I'm driving along a road in the UK last Sunday and I see a sign - "This Way to the Sale".

What are you going to do? Follow it of course.

It leads me to a field where there is an auction of hives and bees taking place.

Knowing nothing at all about bees (other than they're really cool) I put my hand in the air.

I now own a box with 10,000 British black backed bees!

I've stuck them on the farm near a field full of flowers.

The wife says it's her or the bees - I'm not risking transporting them inside my car again, so I've packed her bag.

I've joined my local club and I'm off to my first meeting this weekend (hopefully to buy a suit and a smoker).

Call me irresponsible, but you've got to start somewhere and I like to jump in with both feet.

I'm reading lots but there's nothing like actually doing it.

Hoping to pick up lots of info on here.

What's the worst that could happen - the wife could come back!

Well Done. Those Black Back Bee's are they the strain they thought was extinct and they found a colony in an old Shed or something.

Welcome to the forum. Are those blank bees? They are, supposed to be extinct as a pure German black bee hive. They do show up as individual bees in most hives. If they are you, will need a full suit to handle them. They are very aggressive.
I recommend you contact your local bee inspector. If they are true German black bees, he should bee able to tell. That would bee a great find.
I have seen posts on here of people looking to raise them.
