Queen marking gone woefully wrong!

just make sure the paint is dry when you put her back. if the paint is wet sometimes it will cover her odor & they'll kill her. sometimes if it's wet they'll clean it off her & you'll think she's flown the coop. & as others have said, practice on drones. last year I had around 20 painted drones running around. that can raise a lot of false sightings.

While it's a bad idea to put too much paint on them, you would be surprised how many survive.  Prime it well, wipe it off, then mark the queen...

I had one with her wing etc. painted that lasted at least a year that I know of.
