Last year there was a fatality there from a bee attach.  This year the victims are more fortunate...

Is that true? I wonder how big I'd swell up after 1,100 stings.

I think I read about a woman in Utah killed this year. Her bees, I think.

Yes, a beekeeper did die from bee stings.  In her situation she had a bad reaction from a few dozen stings.  Apparently not a wholesale attack as with AHB...her's was more like she dropped a frame or maybe a box of bees.  http://www.ksl.com/?nid=148&sid=29961123

ETA:  My mention of dropping a frame or box of bees was just to give an example of how many stings she got.  I think the reports said around 40 stings.  I don't know what actually was the cause of the stings.  But another sad affair, non-the-less.
