It's been a good year for our goldenrod here. Just sorry it's done blooming.
We're still waiting on our fall asters though.
Time to pour the feed to the light ones folks.

Just getting started down here.

I see it everywhere here this year.
Maybe just because I know what I'm looking at now lol.
Quite difficult matters can be explained even to a slow-witted man, if only he has not already adopted a wrong opinion about them; but the simplest things cannot be made clear even to a very intelligent man if he is firmly persuaded that he already knows, and knows indubitably, the truth of the matter under consideration. -Leo Tolstoy

Can't ever say that bk'n ain't a learning experience!

The majority of ours will probably bee a couple of weeks getting going good.  Some have a tinge of yellow, not in good bloom, rest is green or just getting buds on the stalks.  Bees are bringing in some light yellow pollen from something.

We did see some fall asters blooming after I posted this.
Just not at our place yet.
It gets ugly around here after the goldenrod is finished.
Robber screens seem to piss everybody off.
Especially the yellow jackets!  :jerry:

just starting down here.  i think it will be in full bloom within a week.  i think we're in for an early fall this year so i'm torn about leaving supers on or forcing the bees to backfill.  in the end i'll probably do a little of both.

Golden rod still going strong here. Astor's coming on too. Weather could be better but the days the sun shines the bees are working like mad!
