Will the bees be ok, with this cold snap?

I still have 2 supers on my 3 hives. They've been tearing up the golden rod, so I just left them on and was planning on taking them off this weekend. Now it's 45F with wind 20-30mph, and supposed to get down to 31 tonight. Will the bees be able to keep warm with the 2 supers still on? I know that means they have more space to heat, so I was worrying if they would be ok.

The bees will be fine.   If you think that this cold will end the flow, it might be a nice time to go out and lift those supers right off on a brisk but fairly windless morning.  They will be free of bees if there are no brood comb in them.  I have pulled honey like that and it is an easy way to go.

Thanks! They seem ok, don't think it got as cold as they said it would. No plants in the garden frozen. But I notice too many yellow jackets hanging around one hive... gonna pull the supers tomorrow
