OK, so I made some of them mountain camp feeders this winter and put them a wile back.Made the "candy" to go in it. These are a great idea and i thank all of you who have been talking them up. But now that spring has finally arrived here, (I think), I have switched to syrup. what do I do with the left over "candy"? Throw it away? leave on the hive till the first nectar flow? set it out to be consumed? freeze it for next year? What is standard operating procedure here? Thank you.

Don't throw it away!  I convert it into syrup by weighing it and figuring out how much boiling water is required to get it to the ratio I'm looking for.  Bust it out up with a hammer on a tarp, ...outside.
Ninja, is not in the dictionary.  Well played Ninja's, well played...

What ever you decide do not put it in the open for feeding.  It might encourage robbing.

The Mountain Camp method does not involve "candy" nor does it involve feeders.  It's just newspaper on the top bars, an empty box and sugar.
