Concrete floor sealant for new processing room

I'm looking for suggestions for a sealant, epoxy or paint for concrete floor in my new processing room. The concrete is new and has a smooth finish.

I will be watching the answers that you get. I am building my workshop and also have a very smooth cement floor that I will probably have to seal if I use it for honey processing.

There are a lot of options. I want something easy to clean, but not cost a fortune....

Get some concrete sealer and roll it on the slab!

Man, I always suspected I didn't qualify as "food grade", now I know why.   

I concur on the epoxy, but I'd consult with a local specialty paint dealer to navigate through your options. Surface prep is going to be the bulk of your labor (unless you count your labor in earning the money you're going to spend on the epoxy).

I've decided to use an epoxy paint from Lowes called Seal-Krete.  The reviews are all over the board on this stuff, mostly complaints from garage floors. Preparation is key. I will let you know how it turns out.

Before one seals a concrete floor, it must be determined if there was a sealer or curing agent applied initially. If so, you must use something compatible,,,,,,, or go to good lengths with surface prep.

I have decorative concrete in my honey house, sealed with bright seal.

Thanks splitrock. It's new concrete that's been cured for about 4 months. I' m using the mfg recommended product for prep. Hope I do it right.....

Don't waste your time & money on the Home Despot latex crap. I did. New concrete, acid etched per instructions: -it flaked & wore off, in the traffic areas, in a few months.

Epoxy may be pricey but latex isn't worth a plug nickel !!!
