My aggressive hive is not as bad as it was but longer I work it the more of a "following" I get. Yesterday was a pleasant 27*C and as I worked the perspiration started to run and the bees started bouncing off the veil - I swear they were after the sweat as they were congregating across the forehead area on the veil and also over my ears. I have a "Fencing" style veil and had to make sure my head remained central as my ears got close at times. The ears also radiate a lot of heat so wonder if they are attracted to a "heat source"

Fortunately no stings as most of the workers stayed put in the hive and only had about 500 hanging around my head.

Interesting they followed me away from the hive and up a hill to a farm gate where most of them stayed and a few followed me to the house and hung around the back door for an hour or so. I left by a different entrance and when I returned to the gate about an hour later I was "bounced" - the gate has to be 20 meters from the hive - went around them and worked happily behind them between the gate and the hive without any challenges or protection but could see them still circling above the gate - silly Bs
