Hello.  I was wondering if someone ordered bees from Fastbees.net.  I plan to buy couple full hives with bees and looking for good organic bee farm that does not use chemicals on bees.

Hey Alexg - Welcome! I haven't heard of them. Where are they located? You may want to edit your profile and add your location. Most bee questions can be answered more accurately if folks know where your coming from.

They are in South Carolina. I am in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Have not heard of them yet. Do you think the hive was a good price? Good idea to get a full hive. So many options with that big hive of bees growing like more honey or a split.

I am in SC and have never heard of them? I do not know where in SC could claim wild enough, as I think they put it, to claim organic bees. They do not pollinate so their bees are chemical free? I wonder how far they forage? Could not find a SC town listed, do you know where they are located? And then do you have a wold place to place those ORGANIC bees?

Dang $270 for a nuc plus shipping... 380 full hive plus shipping.. what five frame nuc and extra 5 wax frames, plastic frames, undrawn frames, how many boxes, one deep? And look at the price of that honey, another  Well I guess I have said enufffff

Plenty locals up your way, I feel sure....I would check them out IMHO

We bought Nucs from fastbees.net
Received them in June. Bees are great and healthy.

Alexg

Yes, they are organic.  They do not use bees for pollination and practice natural beekeeping.

Check out BeezNeedz.com. They are in NC, about 75 mile from you. They will have nucs for 130.00 and Italian queens for 25.00.
Hope this isn't advertising, as Beemaster doesn't allow it, but I can's see letting Alex get taken by fastbees like that.

Alex, I was selling 5 frames of boiling over bees for around $125 this spring. I think every one I sold swarmed and the folks ended up with additional bees. That price is too much. Even if they are all that they won't be in six months after you get them home. Once they get to flying around and collecting nectar it'll be business as usual.

Iddee, I think beemaster will give you a wink and a nod on that one. That's not advertising, that's rescuing

So that makes them organic bees.... what exactly is an organic bee....
I do not pollinate, I do not treat(as of yet)... however they can fly where they wish not fenced in...glad to know my bees are ORGANIC

Odd that it doesn't say that anywhere on their website. Did see an obscure statement that they were from an organic farm, whatever that means. Did see a couple of references for medicating, and treating for mites. Did see it said January and February were the time to medicate and feed syrup. Maybe down there, but not here. My bs meter is pegged. $89 for Italian queen? Really?

I've got a friend with bees on an organic farm. I have the suspicion that the girls pay no attention to the boundary line when they are foraging. Mighty hard to label bees organic, unless you specify exactly what that means.

It appears AlexG and David45 are one and the same. This is an attempt to spam/advertise on our forum and has been dealt with appropriately.

Good job, buzzbee.  Keep it honest.  Thanks.

Buzzbee, you da man!

You know how you handle this? Nip it in the bud.

Good Job, I took it hook, line, and sinker. I blame my folks, I was brought up to trust people :)

Well, it kinda backfired, didn't it? I doubt a single person on beemaster who read this thread, will ever do business with them. I think I will share this at my next club meeting too. I'd rather deal with folks I can trust.
