Happy New Year!
Gearing up to start beekeeping in a few months. First foray into the hobby but am anxious to start. I have had an intro to beekeeping through my two uncles who are decades-long beekeepers but they live 3 hours from me. My 1st year plan is to put 2 hives in 3 separate locations (6 hives.) I have joined my local bee group and they will be very helpful.

Welcome to Beemaster.
I recommend you place all 6 hives at the same location. Preferably the location closest to your home.

LKBruns

I started in April with 4 hives and caught a swarm.  There were times when I wondered if I bit off more than I could chew.  However, if they all overwinter I will be able to split a couple of them and hopefully harvest honey off the others,
