They say they are natural oils - and you can find a few in Google that repel bees but any ideas?  I see cinnamon is supposed to repel bees - wonder if you can put a cinnamon stick in the smoker?and maybe some orange peel and a sprinkling of lavender oil to keep them calm

The "nice smelling ones" that are rip offs of Fischer Bee Quick (or Fischer Bee Quick)  smell like benzaldehyde.  Jim says it's natural oils, which would make it naturally occurring probably almond essential oil... the rest are all butyric acid or one of several forms (and possibly isomers of) butyric acid.  It smells like essence of vomit.  Orange peel will contain several of the constituents of Nasonov Pheromone and will be attractive to bees.  I've never seen them react to cinnamon, but it keeps the ants away.

One of the home made recipies call fro Tea Tree oil, and almond extract. I have made it and it does not work anywhere near as well as Bee Quick.

I think I have bee quick. The smell is a mixture of stink bug and grand daddy long legs. Dang sho run the bees out though.

Cinnamon does not repel my bees, I put it on cotton swabs stapled to the inside of the top feeder to repel the ants.

Bee Quick smells like almond extract or maraschino cherries. aka benzaldhyde.  Bee Go, Honey Robber etc. are Butyric acid and smell like vomit on steroids...
