What are fellow beeks ideas on requeening to control swarming.

I have a lot of hives that have not swarmed with four year old queens... I don't think the age of the queen is related to any significant degree...

I may be wrong but, I don't think requeening alone would make any difference in whether a hive would swarm.  It is more about the amount of space and resources the bees have.  If they run out of room and have excess food they will swarm reguardless if you requeen or not.
