Gday all,
So how dose everybody go about getting rid all the honey that u harvest.
Selling at markets plus are the larger buyers interested in buying from the smaller bee keepers if we have a spare 44gal of honey left.
Thanks in advance.

Most of the larger packers prefer to purchase honey in IBCs but some will still except the 44gal drum, you need to contact some of the local packers and check with them.

Yep, there is still a shortage of local honey so lots of packers would like it. Contact your nearest and go from there.

I was told last year by my equipment supplier that capita no was accepting honey in 20kg buckets due to how little was available,

I sell it at a premium to friends family, coworkers and I have an honesty  the front of my house on a main road in Brisbane, I never have any left by the time I get to July.

I run 10 hives so I don't produce a small amount.

Thanks for all the replys,
Out of interest how much will Capita pay per drum of Kg.
Yeah. Might have to employ my kids to go door to door for a weekend.

Getting about $6.00 per kg at the moment, from my honey packer. (just under 300 kg per drum).

Why not sell it to beekeeper a for feed? Or they could bottle it to help meet their demand. I would not give it away at a cheap price.

One of the Brisbane packers (not the C word) with pay you more the longer you wait for payment - cheapest is COD bit more for 30 days and most for 60 days - means they can handle and weigh at their own time when not so busy.

I'm looking to buy honey in 44gal drums if anyone is interested. Immediate payment and depending on location I pay the freight.
PM me  for more info.

PS hope this type of post is allowed here, my appologies if it's not.

"Excess Honey" reminds me of a line that goes - " the recipe calls for left over wine - please explain ' Left over wine?'"
