I've been on a couple of these and they are so worth your time and effort. The main agriculture college in Alabama is Auburn University at Auburn. They do a lot of studying and research. Dr Powell's name is on a lot of the papers this college and also the Alabama agriculture extension offices pass out. Dr Powell is retired and continuing to do the thing he loves. In addition to the tour last year everyone met in the classroom building. Petals had tables of grapes/scuppernongs/apples and pear already cut up or siting out for you to decide which one suited your taste buds the best;
