I'm brand spanking new to this forum. We do not have any bees or hives yet, but am researching and getting all of my info first. Look to have our first hive sometime in the next year. We have a 21 acre farm, mostly we let it grow up now, as sort of a natural habitat. We do mow some, but mostly have let the woods reclaim a lot of it. We have a couple of animals (chickens, goats, miniature horses). I think that my husband would love to start beekeeping as a hobby. We would definitely be small scale, and it would be for our own pleasure only (as opposed to a business).
