Best videos for installing bees

I've you tubed probably five random videos and all are different.  I won't lie I'm nervous about the dump.   Bees will be here may 5th.   Fortunately I'm obsessive so I will be consumed with this.   Show me the good ones please.  I don't really want to watch videos of other first timers ... which there seems to be a lot of... and when do you go in and remove the queen cage

First step is to relax.     Now   and certainly when you are working with the bees.

None of my project (bees or other) ever go as planned, so seeing different introduction methods gives you options for when things go sideways.

I think michael bush does a good job explaining it.  There's a three part video that was taken by the flow hive people when he was in Austrailia.

Yes, relaxing is essential.  I like to call beekeeping a forced meditation.  Did I make that up or has anyone else heard of that?  Michael Bush is good to watch!  Fat Bee Man is good, but he didn't spray his bees, he soaked them!  Come back and tell us how it went!

I would say no.  You didn't see Michael Bush spray them.  If you wanted to spray anything you can spray the box and frames but only if they are brand new.

I have never sprayed a package of bees. Just carefully take the syrup can out, slide the queen over and get her out and cover the package up while you get her ready. I actually release the queen but if you are afraid she will fly away then get the wood out of the way of the candy in the queen cage and hang her. Then dump the bees into the hive as best you can, cover them up and let the rest of the bees find there way to the queen. It's really that simple.

Have you talked to anybody at Dadent? I am sure they could give some advice. I am not sure where in Waverly you are but Dadent is now just north of town. They used to be on 17C. I tried to stop on my way by to our Waverly office at work and they weren't there anymore. Not quite as convenient for me as they used to be.

Do you know a local Beek? I had a guy help me who was a local beek put my bees in. Go slow and steady with bees always and you will be ok.

Yes dadant is only a few miles from me.   It is a small close knit business and unfortunately had a following out with one of the long term head employees ...  it was a perfect scenario but after the relationship soured we cut ties completely... I buy my supplies online and I send my mom and brother into the shop if I need something in town.   Yes it's a little childish I know.  But there's heavy history and just not worth the emotional stress and anxiety dealing with them personnaly

What concerns you about the dumping part? the thousands of less than happy stinging insects flying around? I saw a great video of a guy putting bees in a top bar hive where he didn't even dump the bees. He used his pipe as a smoker and just gently pulled the can out, hung the queen on one of the bars and then set the package in the hive under the queen and went back out a couple hours later and pulled the package out. The idea was great but it required a pretty deep hive and no bottoms of frames to be in the way. I tried to find the video but I couldn't find it.
