My daughter in law just sent this to me. On another thread this custom of telling the bees when there has been a death or other momentous event I need the family came up. This goes into more detail. So fascinating. https://www.amusingplanet.com/2019/04/the-adorable-custom-of-telling-bees.html?fbclid=IwAR1LES04VqfrYWtGaaTAi9Xd_JpnuHJVK9R16Rw7nwP_DJ2x5fQ_fm0KpyI&m=1

Great article. Summarizes a lot of the things people have been citing on the various threads where the subject came up lately. Beautiful paintings too, especially that Hans Thoma one.

I will just put this here.
