In the last post I did I talked about how my hive is trying to run away. Luckily they did not while i was at school and was able to put the queen and a few frames of resources into a whole new hive. Queen Rose is now in a brand new hive and her successor is awaiting in the old hive. Also had a few bees ride on me to my house. They were returned safely. If you mean the new queen returning from her mating flight, I don?t think that is normally a problem.

I come from under the hill, and under the hills and over the hills my paths led.  And through the air, I am she that walks unseen.

Sometimes the queens can drift and end up in the wrong hive. If that happens I will supply a frame of eggs and larva from the Rose hive to the queen-less hive and they can make more cells.
