Had a friend of mine get out of the beekeeper hobby and gave me some of her equipment that hadn?t been used yet.  Part of that was some black foundation frames.   Loved them.  They are so much nicer to see eggs and even areas that are built up slightly.

Anyone know where I can find some?

Probably Barnyard Bees can help you. If not try Mann Lake.  I am just guessing but most bee supply companies should carry them. Are you talking about the complete frame and foundation combination or just the foundation itself?

ed/La.

EBay has them.  I think $25 for 10 with free shipping.

As mentioned, Mann Lake has them.  Buy them in bulk and they are a lot cheaper. Check with your friends at your bee club and save money.

Just about anywhere, including the places mentioned.

I really like the black foundation on a wooden frame. I really hate the plastic one-piece frames with foundation. I suggest you go with the former. Reasons:

1. Many of the plastic frames warp when set out in the sun.
2. More waste plastic.
3. More burr comb.

Concerning the burr comb, the bees really like to build comb on the tops (and bottoms) of the plastic frames. I believe it is because of the method the manfacturer uses to wax them, which gets wax on the tops and bottoms. Regardless of why, it ends up between frames vertically, glueing them together, and is a pain to separate sometimes.

The ones I?m getting now are from a somewhat local supplier.  I believe they ultimately come from Mann Lake.  I used the unassembled wood frames with plastic foundation.
