The study is specified below.  In brief the scientist have isolated drone specific chemicals that attract Varroa.  Most know that Varroa prefer drone brood, but the factors of the specific attraction towards drone brood have not been identified until now.  The hope is as beeks we can use these attraction factors to lure Varroa into traps.  The studies must be confirmed, there is more work to be conducted.  There is hope for the future a of Varroa decline by natural drone scents.

The below TITLED article below is very difficult to read, you have been warned.  Even the title is difficult.  I skimmed through it.

Influence of physicochemical factors on environmental availability and distribution of semiochemicals that affect Varroa destructor and phylogenetically close organisms: classification by VHWOC PCA-clustering.
I have been around bees a long time, since birth.  I am a hobbyist so my answers often reflect this fact.  I concentrate on genetics, raise my own queens by wet graft, nicot, with natural or II breeding.  I do not sell queens, I will give queens  for free but no shipping.

now that's looking in the right direction, IMO.
Lure them into a trap spiked with something like OA.
It might not get them all because some still go to the female larvae, but it would certainly keep the mite population down at a critical point in the hive's season.
Winter is coming.

I can't say I hate the government, but I am proudly distrustful of them.

Yes you can.
To post it directly, the picture needs to be less than 600K. What are you using to post?
