My new bee yard

I found a place for 2 new hives, a short drive from my home yard.

Just curious, why did you choose a site away from you home? I have two remote sites. One is at large commercial tree farm. Lots and lots of flowering trees, especially crape myrtle. The other site is at the headquarters for the American Camelia Society. Lots of flowering camelias and daylillies. Steve

They came from Georgia this morning, I picked them up an hour Northeast of home. (Hartford)

I have 6 now in my yard, 5 overwintered and 1 new hive. I also made a Queen bank with an extra Queen I bought with my packages
