Starter strip wire?

Does  any one use wire in the frames when they use starter strip? Would the bees build it in? Are the combs strong enough without it.

i do, the building dependes, sometimes they build as if there's no wire, whilst some comb looks like...well like hair comb, LOL

I used wired foundation for mine, because that's what I had. It's more time consuming cutting the strips, but it does hold them in well.

I don't, but I know people who do.

Yes.  The more level the hive the more likely it will land in the center of the comb.

Yes.  If you're gentle with them.
