open air colony

I am going to relocate this open air colony to night it is by a buss stop and they want me to save it so off to the rescue RDY-B

Do these hives survive well over the winter?

If you scroll down to my pic section you can see the "lawn mower" hive. Same type of exposed hive, under a porch but right next to a large opening, the hive lived there for 3-4 yrs until I removed it. Our winter temps rarely dip below the freezing mark.
