5 medium supers full with girls, brood, and honey. I put on the entrance reducer today, and noticed lots of bright-orange pollen coming back in. I plan to winter this way - they looked very healthy, so I'm hopeful everything will be OK.

Good photos. Bees are addictive.
By the way, I observe that Flyckr is a good site to share photos too.

UtahBees

Yes - I think Flickr is well worth its money.

UtahBees, I had to download some kind of weird program to look at your pictures, so I didn't.  I bet they were great though!!!  Have a great and wonderful day, love your life you're livin'.  Cindi

Hi Cindi -

Not for Flickr. If you're being asked to download a program from just going to http://www.flickr.com, I'd check your computer.

No problems here, as it's a web-based site only.

Looks like the wasp had the upper hand there.

Nice pictures. Good looking hives.

Scott, I was able to view the images one by one, but I wanted to look at them in a slideshow format, but couldn't do that, I had to download additional plug ins for that, so I didn't bother, but man, you took some beauties of the girls!!!  Yeah!!!   I really liked the rumble with the yellowjacket, I bet the girl won that one.

I wonder if the workers of the yellowjackets are females like the honeybees.  Now I am such a curious person.  Have a wonderful and beautiful day, thanks for sharing your pictures.  Cindi
