New to the board it looks like alot of good information. I used to have several hives several years ago and got rid of them. Now I am ready to get some more. I ordered 2 3lb packages that I am supposed to pick up the first week in May which is latter than I wonted but it is all they had available. I guess the good thing about it is it gives me plenty of time to get my old stuff out and cleaned up and new coats of paint on it before I pick them up.

NCflycaster.  Welcome to our forum, you will find that this is a place where you will spend alot of time.  We are a friendly group, we love to answer questions, we have people who have kept bees most of their lives to really new beekeepers and many that don't even have their bees yet.  Welcome.

Tell us your story of you, in the greetings forum.  Why did you get rid of your bees? Wonderful that you are starting up again.  Have a great and wonderful day, enjoy this life we all live.  Cindi

I got rid of my bees about 6 or seven years ago. At the time I had to many irons in the fire and decided to down size my hobbies. I guess in a way it kind of funny I probally have more going on now than I ever have. I just miss messing with the bees, I figure as long as I keep my hives at a managable level I should be fine. Before I had over a dozen hives and between them and training horses, kids, work, and a couple other things I had to let something go.
