Does anyone here use a SBB in a TBH?

No screen, but an open bottom hive.   I don't see why the screen would be a problem.

If you have critters like skunks, you want to make sure the screen is strong enough to prevent them from getting it through the bottom.

I'm sorry. I had Slatted BB in the title and just SBB in the body. I mean slatted not screened.

I use slatted racks as my bottom board, or if you prefer, a bottomless hive.  Top entrances.  Keeps the bees cool all summer.  Less swarming, few, if any, bearding, and the screens and slats keep the skunks from getting to the bees.
