Cardoon flower

Don't know if I've posted enough yet to get to post pics, but will give it another shot...



Wow, it's working!  That flower is on a cardoon plant, a relative of the artichoke with smaller flowers, and the stalks of the plant are edible when young and tender if you peel them.
This other picture is one of my hives under the tree that shades them.  It is flowering now and about a hundred feet tall - FULL of bees!
