for the more experienced beekeepers, this will probably seem like a "duhhhh" post, but.....

i was having trouble with my queen cage.  it did not want to stay where i put it.  i considered tape, but that didn't seem like a good solution.

i took a long twist tie, the type that comes with the large garbage bags, and after poking two holes through the drawn comb, i secured the queen cage to the comb.  this will only work with wax, and i think only with draw comb.  foundation might not be thick enough to hold.

anyway, simple solution for a simple problem  :-)

You can use a stapler and staple most anything from a piece of cardboard to a piece of an aluminum can to a piece of #8 hardware cloth on the top to hold it from falling through.

Tack a popsycle stick to the queen cage and then hang it (screen down) between the frames.  there is usually enough room in the box to allow putting the queen cage between the frames by sliding them out to the sides.  If you don't have enough room it's time to trim propolis.
