It seems that many folks don't have marked queens for one reason or another, but wish they did.  I know the thought of marking your own queens can seem intimidating for new beekeepers, so with the help of my son Blake, we made a short video demonstrating how easy it is.  Blake is only 8 years old and did all the camera work,  I think he did an outstanding job,  but then again, I'm his Dad, so I'm suppose to think that. :-D This is also our first (hopefully there will be more) video,  so any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks for the video Robo. Your son did a great job!!! Wish I could do as well!!!

Also thanks for you website have looked at it several times--- I believe about the cloake board (think that was your site). Still a little confused on it. How about a video on it and setting it up for queen rearing :-D.

Just wish I had something besides dial-up :'(!

I don't have anything on my site about Cloake boards....yet!    I plan on building a couple this winter and will put a video together in the spring.... stay tuned.

I feel your pain.  I can not get DSL or Cable at home either and am stuck with a crappy 24K dial-up at best.  Wild Blue just became available in my area, so after the holidays I'm going to seriously consider it.

Rob, I meant to tell you before, but forgot, that video of queen marking was very good, straight to the point and I actually didn't realize it was so simple, think I'm going to be marking all my queens in spring when I can get in the hives.  It really is a good idea, it is sometimes very hard to find that gal.  Have a wonderful and beautiful day.
