We had our about a week ago. We had a nice rain and the rain collected in the back of my truck The next morning when I went huinting all my stuff was frozen in the left over water. I guess that was not a front but a FREEZE!

Kathyp

Night before last was the first, last night the second - tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, zinnias, daturas, nasturtiums, etc. are all toast, but the pineapple sage is still blooming away. A true killing frost has not struck yet.

We've had frost the last two nights.

The peppers are not doing well, the morning glories are no longer blooming, but the basil seems to still be living. Time to pick those leaves before they croak!

It's summertime in Tasmania. Temps are in the 60F/15C to 40F/4C. And living in Florida the word frost is a bad word.

Current temps in south Florida 84F/29C to 78F/26C.

Its interesting that places like NJ, SC and OR have already had a frost but we have not here in Northern Ohio. Now there has been some frost in the valleys and my parents just 30 miles east have had hard frosts but my Impatiens are still blooming.

we had light frost a while back but the killing freeze came a couple of nights ago.

Our first hard frost was a month ago .  It seems we are exempt from global warming.  Still , if it only gets a few degrees above freezing the bees are out milling around .  It takes extra hardy types to live in this country.

Here in Central Georgia we usually get our first hard frost around Thanksgiving. We are still mowing our lawns. I just put away my work short pants. Morning temperatures dipped to 50 f.

Last week we had a record low of 47 for this time of yr. That's the coldest its been so far. Tomorrow I believe its supposed to peak at 80. Happy Halloween everybody. I've been up the last several nights without any sleep whatsoever putting costumes on all my bees for the big day tomorrow. The girls just love dressing up. They wanted to go as beekeepers of all things this year. Can you imagine my dilemma of trying to fit 500,000 bees into their little costumes? The veils are hard to get on. They promised me though that they would make a lot of honey this spring if I let them dress up again. :-D :-D :-D

Greetings from California

We have not had one in Northern California and most likely wil not until December.

75 degrees in the foothills and bees still active.

Sunny and beautiful.  I took off the day from work and worked on the ranch.

Fall is here and leaves are changing colors

First one I noticed was on the 29th...then another on the 30th...then 31st.  Anyone want to make a bet that there will be one tomorrow?

Our first frost was a month ago - end of September.  We get frost most nights then highs in the 60's.  Normal autumn weather for the high desert.  Two weeks ago we had our first snow...

Zoot
