Drones leave the hive in groups ?

It's still in the high 70's here. I understand about the drone congregation areas (fly lanes).
I seems that when I see drones leave the hive there are usually a lot of them leaving at the same time. I thought that maybe they would stagger their flights to always keep a presence in the 'drone congregation areas'. Are there some internal triggers that cue them to all fly at the same time ?

They all leave at roughly the same time and return at roughly the same time.

Drones are just obnoxious, come and go as they please. Wherever they want. Eat the food. And don't contribute much to the hive. And the first rumor of a virgin queen and they can't get out fast enough.
