Is it safe to use drawn comb of honey and syrup for new bees

Howdy all it has been a while since i last been here but i am glad to be back. I have three hives that did not make it this winter back in the fall some of my hives stored up enough honey to make it with a good cluster but these did not they did not build up good i think the queen shut down and just did not start back up in time so when i went to take a look they were in a small cluster near the top bars dead. they had plenty of stores around them but the weather was very cold and then warm at nite it fell down to 16 degrees and the day temps was in the 30's. Well i cleaned them up and put the frames that has stores back in and close them up will it hurt new packages if i put them on these frames the hives were checked by the inspector last fall and had a good bill of health. I also fed them fumaglin in thier syrup last fall i treated all my hives i now have.

I do it all the time..... feed honey to bees.

   I go to healthy strong  hives and pull a frame with a little bit of brood and some nurse bees on them then I take extra frames that are drawn out and frames with honey and frames with pollen from dead outs that didn't make it through the winter then I put the queen cage from the package on the frame with brood so that  the nurse bees will take care of the queen when I pour out the package bees I pour them over all the frames and the queen  I have reused frames like this with packages and never had any problems in my opinion and let me stress this it's only my opinion if your frames are clean and have no foulbrood and your bees died from getting wet from moisture inside the hive and then getting to cold(you said it got cold and warm and then dropped down to 16 degrees)and not from bringing something toxic back to the hive then I would probably use them but I would add a frame with some brood to make the bees want to stay there are alot of beekeepers on this web site with alot more bee experience than me I'm sure they will have something to say about this but this is just what I would do hope it helps .    metzelplex

As long as there's no chance the old hive had AFB you should be okay.

Nothing wrong with old comb and honey. As long as the hive was healthy.

Thank you all for the advice the bee from the dead outs were in a small cluster and froze. I also had the state bee inspector out before the winter to check them all out and he gave them all a clean bill of health. As far as i know they all went into the winter good except these hives did not build up enough brood in time enough and the clusters were to small.
