Angi, your propolis has been done

Angi, this is for you.  I have finally finished all the crush and straining and cleaned all the propolis off of the frames, with you in mind with each little scrape of my tool.

With all said and done after the dripping of cappings for days, the season was a poor yield.  I have about 60 pounds of honey.  I left lots for the bees, but this is what I have for us human beings.  It is sitting in a 5 gallon honey pail (about 11.8 pounds to a gallon, specific gravity 1.5).  It is darker than last years honey and darker than the first bottle that I drew off to look this year at when I first began the frames of the crush and strain a few days prior.  I will draw off a bottle later today and get a picture for comparison.

I heated the propolis up, to separate the wax, and you will have two flat blobs comin' your way, one wax and one propolis (with maybe a little bee head or wing in it, sorry, I didn't want to clean it too much, hee, hee  :lol: ;) :)  These blobs are ready, in a card, flattened out and held in place with scotch tape (within a baggie that I cut to size).  I am posting it today when I go to town.  I really hope that they go through the border OK without them thinking it is some kind of thing that may cause the recipient harm.  Time will tell that tale.  Do what you will with the little bit of wax and the blob of propolis, whatever, it will make you happy.  Have a wonderful day, gotta love this life we live.  Cindi
