Did  anyone see 60 minutes tonight?  They were talking about the honeybee.  Look interesting....

We watched it, but it was a repeat.

I saw it also. Had seen part of it before, I think on the news.

I listened to it; it seemed to be a repeat of one I had seen before.  I did take exception to beekeepers being called the "ugly step child of agriculture"!

Man is that true. The farm service agency has programs for corn farmers, penut farmers, cotton, beef, etc. The beekeeper can't even qualify for disaster assistance.

I caught the last ten minutes or so. Of course Bayer is not gonna say its  pesticide related, duh. Still can't figure why they haven't found concrete evidence of pesticide accumulation in the hives or the bees, this is puzzling, but all fingers seem to point to pesticides. Now stressed bees are just like stressed humans in regards to getting sick, I agree. I hope this thing is figured out soon. One thing for sure, the public is becoming more aware of the importance of the role that honeybees play in the scheme of things and this is a good thing.
