whats the best way to store supers of drawn comb thru winter. Just wondering about protecting the comb from pests like wax moths.

Do a forum search on "certan".  That is the best way.

If you live in the north, once winter sets in, wax moths won't be a problem until sometime between late spring and early summer.  If you leave the boxes on the hives until the first hard freeze you can get them into winter.  If you get the supers on the hives before then, the bees will guard them.  Certan is the only thing I'd consider to treat them.

Certan does not hurt you, the bees nor the honey.

There was talk at one time of putting Bt (Certan) in all of the foundation.  Apparently it was decided that it wasn't a money making proposition to have comb that wax moths wouldn't eat.  :)  At least for those making foundation.

I just rec'd XenTari in the mail.  I am guessing that I mist it on the drawn comb, and allow it to dry.
