How many beekeepers on here have a wife/betterhalf that makes soaps and/or candles?  Just curious since my wife and I had this discussion awhile back.

Mine wants no part of the idea. She really does not want the hives in the back yard either. Hopefully once I get going she will change her mind.

Shawn, unless she has a BAD reaction to sting, tell her not to worry.
I had much rather be stung by a honey bee than a yellow jacket or hornet.
Even the small yellow wasp smart me more than the honey bee sting.

I do the lip balm and soap and also the beekeeping.  My better half tolerates my chaos.

I didn't have enough wax last year, but will have enough this year to make some lip balm.  I plan on making soap, but not sure if I want to use wax for that or not.
