This weekend my brother-in-law called to tell me he saw a huge basketball of bees in a bush. Knowing my brother in law I assumed it was either paper wasp or yellow jackets because every flying insect to him is a bee. So I ignored him politely. Well yesterday while I walking the edge of the field (yes my sister talked me into it) we found the swarm or what was left of it. Now it might have had 150-200 bees left. I went home and grabbed an empty hive body and dumped them in, I never saw the queen but all the bees were fanning and landing in the box so I hoped she is in there. It was right at dark so I put the top on and haven’t been back since. My question is. With a swarm so small what to do with it should I combine and if I should how do I do that? Or should I just leave them alone and let them do their thing?

My guess is you missed her and the main swarm.  There are always some stragglers, or dumb bees, I'm never sure which, that miss the swarm leaving.  They hang around where they can smell the queen pherome.  I'd say you have a small cluster of queenless bees.
