My wife and i went to Paris Texas Today and got my two packages, First thing i wasn't expecting was that the packages where in cardboard boxes with door screen on them. This was ok till we started to drive home.  About half way we noticed 3 bees then 6 bees then i said honey pull over i think we have a leak ! One of the Stapels was loose and the bees where escaping through the gap. I had decided to get a second vail as a spare we decided to wrap them in that . Got home and started to do the installation.

I took the queen cage out which was the plastic kind again wasn't expecting that. No where have i read about installing a package which a plastic queen cage. I placed the queen in the middle two frames. Worked out where the plug was and took that off then got some fishing wire and tapped it to a frame. Ill check it ina  few days and see how we get on !

Thats great Steve, isn't it amazing that we can get so excited & protective bout a bunch-o-bugs??  I checked mine today & both queens were out somewhere.  They made comb where they shouldn't so I scraped it off & have been showing it to everyone, "lookie what my bees made!"  :-D It's kinda squished up from being in my purse...didn't know it would be yellow! No real taste or smell either. What an adventure we are going to have huh??  Are yours where you can see from the house??  Jody

There are strange things done in the midnight sun by the men who moil for gold.  The Arctic trails have their secret tales that would make your blood run cold.  The Northern Lights have seen queer sights, but the queerest they ever did see, what the night on the marge of Lake Lebarge, I cremated Sam McGee.  Robert Service
