Getting honey for "The Great Honey Hunt" yet?

hey you guys,
Is anybody getting honey yet around my area? Or even anywhere?
Theres the Great Honey Hunt contest fixing to happen and honey has to be mailed in by May 26th. Seems to be cutting it kinda close as my bees havent even got more than two frames of honey filled in my honey supers yet :-\

I guess I better send them an inquiry on this.
hey JP...are you gonna do this "honey Hunt" thing?
So far, only one other person here mentioned any interest in this deal.
I dont think I'll get high marks for my honey....I just kinda want something that says I participated.
On the other side of the coin, maybe I will win it all!!!(If nobody else plays!)

Thats alright tho! :-D...I've been a party pooper a few times!...I mean,.....twice.....Uhhhhh...once,.....yeh, once..........Ok,....I cant lie.......I didnt get this "Fine Figure of a Man" by sitting on the sidelines!
Hmmmmm.....I think I'm gonna go this this over ..................while I drink a "Chelada"!

I'll reconsider if you post the details of the contest. I really meant that I just didn't know much about the contest, so busy ya know, but with more time I'll check it out!

The Great Honey Hunt Begins

The Hoople Group, Zuula Consulting and The American Honey Producers present the rules for the biggest gathering of honey varietals in U.S. History

How it all began...

Working with our friends at Zuula Consulting, The Hoople Group contacted Mark Brady, president of the American Honey Producers Association (AHPA). Together we discussed our love for honey and our desire to help give great American honey the attention it finally deserves.

Together, we decided the best place to start: A contest to celebrate our country's dedicated beekeepers by searching for the tastiest honey in the nation.

How does it work?

The Great American Honey Hunt will award prizes for small, medium and large producers and everyone making delicious, American-made honey is encouraged to enter.

Send us a 1lb. sample of your best honey and include the following details:

1. Your name and contact information.

2. The honey's floral source and varietal.

3. The number of hives you maintain.

4. Your annual honey production.

Also, we'd love to get to know you and your honey better, so please share a little about who you are. Sample questions to answer:

1. How did you become interested in honey?

2. How long have you been producing honey?

3. What's the funniest/scariest/most unbelievable experience you've had while making honey?

4. How do you feel about your bees?

5. Do you have any special or surprising honey recipes to share?

Please pack your honey carefully. We don't want to lose a drop!

Man Wes, I was just thinking the same thing!!! Can I be a judge? If a bunch of honey comes in where does it go after the contest is over? My pantry???? :-D

Really tho, I wondered the same thing about where all the leftover honey goes. I told my buddy paul that theres probably a guy somewhere just getting a bunch of 55 gal. drums ready to fill up!
