Just had one come out of the woods and took a stack of supers I had in reserve.
Have to try to move them tonight while my Son is here to help.
4 boxes high, two mediums and 2 shallows, I think.
Bad part the board they are on is a bottom board upside down. ;) :)doak

My goodness

Well I got them moved to their new location.
I'll have to go in, in the morning and smoke them and give them a good box. ;)doak

I think Bull Frog Green makes a good color for bee boxes.

Another pic of same swarm

This swarm came out of the woods.
They took a box that has no frames.
And the next one under has frames.
It was covered with an inner cover and then a piece of scrap.
when we got it to its location we had to move it off the solid bottom it was sitting on.
No bees were in the bottom, then I wondered if they had left while I was waiting for it to get dark.No
The bottom two boxes has frames that has frames to be cleaned.
So to make sure they hadn't left I pick the piece of scrap up off the inner cover and there they were .
make the long story short, I am going to let them do their thing in the frame less box.
Take the un used boxes off the bottom, sit a box with frames/starter strips on top and let them come on through the escape hole.

While thinking of this I came up with this idea.
I am using cleat top frames. All I need to do is turn the cleat up edge wise and nail it in.
I have my starter strip.

what ya'll tink.
