When I was adding sugar water this morning, I accidentally spilled some over the edge of my hive top feeder and it ran down the inside of the hive and out by the reducer.  Could this cause problems?

By tomorow bees will clean it up . :-D

Two Bees

Suprstakr's right!  I spilled some sugar syrup in my hives when I was intially installing the packages because the holes in the lid of the gallon jar were larger than they should have been.  It took a bit of spilling before the suction stopped the leaking.  But I noticed a nice puddle on the bottom board.  By the next day when I opened the hive to remove the wire cage, the bees had cleaned the entire mess up and you could not even tell a spill had happened!

(My instructions were to put the whole package cage into the hive instead of shaking the bees out)

You know what they say.  Dont cry over spilled syrup....

No prob.  Sometimes you need to bee careful as the syrup will run out the entrance and can start a robbing frenzy....
