I see bees coming with these little pieces of white stuff in there mouth what is it?

I will try to look for some more but they may have just been cleaning house and bringing it out of the beehive. Today about 5:00 im going back in to remove the queen cage.

I went out tonight and touched a piece and picked it up and scraped it with my finger and its little pieces of wax. Why would they be bringing out wax it looks like they are putting it in with there c*ap on the edge of the bottom board.

Any Ideas?
